Hoosier RV Transport is always looking for
experienced drivers to add to our fleet. We offer some of the
highest rates in the country, including 85% of gross to the
driver, whereas many companies pay only 80%. We also offer some of
the finest R&R amenities available to drivers at our offices
in Bristol, including a free place to stay overnight, saving you
money and increasing your profits even further. These features
include:
- Laundromat
- Bunk room
- Break room
- Cable TV
- Showers, with plenty of HOT water
- A staff willing to go "the extra mile" for YOU
01.) We furnish legalization for
all 48 states, Alaska and Canada.
02.) We furnish cargo
and liability insurance while under load.
Drivers
Rates
01.) Pay rate for singles: $.70-$.81 per mile.
Rates are
determined by size of the unit.
We will
dispatch to your home if you live within a day's drive.
02.) If available, we
deliver motorhomes that are matched up with trailers going the
same way.
03.) Upon availability we
have return freight from all over the United States.
04.) Low Boy and Wedge
Information
a.)
48-53 foot by 102 inches wide pays
$1.40-$1.51 per mile for cargo trailers.
There are some exceptions to these rates.
b.)
Haul and Tows pay $1.21-$1.32 per
mile to the truck.
c.)
Pay
rate is 85% of gross to the truck.
d.)
Legalization, cargo and liability
insurance is paid by Hoosier.
e.)
Drivers provide proof of bob-tail
insurance, same as pick-ups.
f.)
There is also group
available.
g.)
You must have a center rail and
winch.
h.)
Drivers pay own fuel tax if you are
apportioned at a weight above 26,000 lbs.
i.)
Fuel tax will be deducted
quarterly.
05.) At present there is a
temporary fuel surcharge the ranges from 3-15 cents per mile
depending on where unit is shipped and what your classification
is. This surcharge goes to the driver.
06.) Motorhome drivers get
55 cents per mile, plus current fuel surcharge depending on where
unit is shipped.
Requirements
01.) 3/4 ton heavy duty or 1
ton pick-up truck.
02.) Trucks must be equipped
with the following:
a.)
Extension mirrors with 5 inch convex.
b.) Proper
mud flaps no more than 3 inches from the ground.
c.) Electric
trailer brakes.
d.) Fifth
wheel hitch with minimum 20,000 lbs.
e.) 2 inch
ball and 2-5/16 inch ball.
f.)
Gooseneck hitch.
g.) 10,000
receiver with 1,000 lb. spring bars.
h.) Chains,
triangles or flares, 4-way lug wrench, jack, fire extinguisher,
and chains for winter running.
i.)
Four (4) loading straps 2" X 30' with ratchet (for backhauls).
03.) Proper drivers license,
whatever is required in your state to pull loads under 26,000 lbs.
04.) Must be at least 26
years old, possible exceptions made with two years experience and
clean MVR. NO DUI, DWI or OWI.
05.) Have a current D.O.T.
physical, or be able to pass one. D.O.T. physicals can be done at
a local clinic in Goshen, In, although you may use any clinic.
06.) Be able to pass a drug
screen.
07.) Current D.O.T. truck
inspection (can be done locally).
08.) Valid truck
registration.
09.) Must be able to pass a
road test.
10.) Must have a copy of
your insurance policy showing at least $300,000 liability. Group
policy available through Hoosier-call for quotes.
11.) Must pay a $100.00
deposit on a set of transporter plates. May be deducted in $25.00
increments from your paycheck.
12.) We require a $500.00
drivers damage deposit. We will work with drivers and make
deductions from your paychecks.
13.) Must read and sign our
policy and procedure manual.
